    Official kick-off of the development project for a new centrifugal compressor.

    Dresser-Rand had an internal contest to name their new line of centrifugal compressors and Dresser-Rand Advanced Turbo Machinery (DATUM) won.

  • 1995
    The first and largest DATUM compressor to date was sold to Taekwang Industrial in Korea.

  • 1996
    Dresser-Rand sold its first high pressure DATUM for gas re-injection to Statoil.

  • 1998
    The 100th DATUM compressor is sold to Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company for use in Zakum Field Offshore.

  • 2001
    Dresser-Rand sold its first DATUM P to El Paso Energy in Hawley, PA. It was also the first DATUM to use magnetic bearings.

  • 2001
    Dresser-Rand sold its first DATUM acid gas compressors to Exxon.

  • 2004
    Dresser-Rand sold six DATUM units powered by Rolls-Royce engines as part of the Dolphin Gas Project in the Middle East.

  • 2006
    Dresser-Rand sold its first DATUM C compressor to Central New York Oil & Gas (CNYOG).

  • 2007
    Dresser-Rand sold highest head units to Chevron for their refinery in Pascagoula, Mississippi.

  • 2008
    Dresser-Rand sold six DATUM compressors to Gazprom for the Nord Stream pipeline.

  • 2009
    Dresser-Rand shipped its first DATUM ICS to Petrobras for an offshore production platform.

  • 2011
    Dresser-Rand and Statoil launched a joint research and development project to marinize the DATUM ICS.

  • 2011
    Dresser-Rand successfully engineered, manufactured and tested what is believed to be the world’s highest density centrifugal compressor for re-injection services.

  • 2012
    DATUM ICS nominated for an innovation award at the Offshore Northern Seas Conference.

  • 2012
    Dresser-Rand sold its 1,000th DATUM unit, a DATUM I compressor, to PEMEX.
